Drawing as a way of seeing

For me, carrying a sketchbook is more than a habit; it is a vital tool for understanding the world through the line. In this section, I share my visual diaries—sketches captured in the streets of Mendoza, Buenos Aires, and beyond—where each stroke seeks to rescue the memory and the rhythm of the places I transit. These pages are the result of my practice within the USK Mendoza community and a record of my constant dialogue with the urban landscape.

Mendoza's Coffee Scene & Sketching Community

Beyond the streets, our USK Mendoza group meetings often take us into the heart of the city's cozy coffee shops. These gatherings are more than just drawing sessions; they are vibrant social encounters where we capture the atmosphere and local delicacies in our sketchbooks. These events often feature friendly competitions, and I’ve been honored to win several awards. A personal highlight was receiving the First Prize at the 'Café Mundial' Contest in the historic Pasaje San Martín; a piece that is currently exhibited on the walls of this iconic downtown café.

5 days in Buenos Aires

In November 2025, I took advantage of a long weekend to escape for five days from Mendoza. In my landscape sketchbook, I recorded the places we visited. The idea was to make quick sketches that would allow me to relive the experience of those five days in "the city that never sleeps," Buenos Aires: museums, notable cafes, the Recoleta Cemetery, and more.
